The amusement comeback
The stronghold pf the varieté was already founded in Hamburg in 1894 - the legendary HANSA THEATER. The German varieté theatres were celebrating their success until the 1930s. The HANSA THEATER was the last carieté theatre in West Germany after 1960. The grand renaissance of the varieté in Germany only began in 1988, but has become an ever-growing trend. The current head of the HAMBURG VARIETÉ is the Hamburg producer and impresario Boris Hilbert, who looks upon the great stage tradition of the port city with the greatest of respect - continuously developing it further with successful programmes. The HILBERT CONCERTS production company has been successfully staging acts throughout Europe since 1996.
